I am from heat and dirt,
Cracked sidewalks and dusty streets,
Wasted nights and stoned summers,
Stupid mistakes and easily avoidable fuck ups,
I am from dying palm trees and saguaro cacti that tease you
with the image of a lost paradise,
I am from the back alleys and the meth labs,
And the posh country clubs and foothill homes,
I am from lies and honesty, assholes and good people,
Lazy days of doing nothing and busy days of still doing nothing,
I am from dumb ideas and bad decisions, of not knowing exactly where I'm going or what I will become,
but nevertheless, not caring
